Fountain Gate Dodoma Secondary School Girls’ Football Team has safely arrived in Durban South Africa ready to participate in the CAF African Schools Championship continental finals scheduled for April 5-8.

The team will represent Tanzania and the entire East Africa region in the much-coveted inaugural. The competition will bring together young boys and girls from all over Africa.

The qualifiers for the CAF African Schools Championship continental finals (Girls category) are:

  • Fountain Gate Dodoma Secondary School (Tanzania)
  • Ecole Omar Ibn Khatab (Morocco)
  • Scan Aid (Gambia)
  • CEG Mfilou (Congo Brazzaville)
  • Anse Boileau (Seychelles)
  • Edendale Technical High School (South Africa)

The Motsepe Foundation has donated USD 10 million for the inaugural CAF African Schools Championship. The breakdown in prize money for the finals competition is as follows:

Winner: USD 300,000

Runners-Up: USD 200,000

Third place: USD 150,000
